Christmas Island

This mega resort/marine/golf field is taking a finger shape in the portion of land that separate the Pacific to Christmas’s Lake. University’s Museum of Archeology

Inaugurated in 1996, this museum shows pieces with a big historical value, which will let you, know about the region culture, which was inhabited by important pre-Hispanic population as the Coloma, Capuche, Cortices, Periqullos, Colima and Armeria.

The museum has two triangular buildings connected by a square similar to the antiques ceremonial precind. It’s located in Av.Benito Juarez s/n and has almost 1500 square meter. It also has 5 exhibition’s rooms, in the first building are almost 1800 original pieces of the Colama culture and there are reproductions of the TIro’s thumbs. While in the second building, there are a collection of nearly 18000 objects, all of them with an incredible historical and cultural value.

Alvarez Obregon’s Garden

This is the main square in Manzanillo. It has beautiful fountains, and in the central part there is a Kiosco with a colonial style. It was designed by Rancel Hidalgo.

It’s located in front of Manzanillo’s Malecon, a place where it get full of noise when many ships and cruises arrive from different geographic points. With no doubt there is an excellent beginning to know the city.

The Elephant’s stone

Is the Juluapan peninsula and it’s located just an hour from Manzanillo, and there you will see an amazing caprice of the nature, because the wind and the erosion join to draw the figure of a paquidermo in a stone. The singular sculpture created by the Mother Nature surprise everybody who looks at it.

It’s located in a beach with quite and peaceful waters, which is the perfect place to practice snorkel, and the most incredible thing is that it has a beautiful underwater landscape, plenty by corals.
